Our mission to bring financial literacy to Manchester and beyond
indigokeep was founded in 2018 by a group of finance professionals who saw a troubling gap in education. While schools teach mathematics and science, practical money management remains largely absent from the curriculum.
We started with a single evening class for adults in a rented community hall. Word spread quickly. Within a year, we had expanded to include youth programmes and family workshops. Today, we operate from our dedicated centre near Piccadilly Gardens, serving hundreds of Manchester residents each term.
Our name reflects our core belief: that building wealth requires protection (keep) and patience (indigo, representing depth and wisdom). Financial security is not about quick schemes; it is about steady, informed decisions made over time.
Every course we design follows these foundational principles.
Every lesson includes exercises you can apply the same week. We focus on real bank accounts, real budgets, and real decisions rather than abstract concepts.
Financial education should not be reserved for the wealthy. Our sliding scale options and community programmes ensure cost is never a barrier.
Money habits form early. By teaching parents and children together, we create households where financial conversations become normal and productive.
Since opening our doors, we have worked with thousands of individuals across Greater Manchester.
Our teaching team brings decades of combined experience from banking, accounting, and financial planning.
Lead Instructor, Adult Programmes
Former wealth manager with 18 years at a leading UK bank. David now focuses on making pension and investment concepts accessible to everyday savers.
Youth Programme Director
A qualified secondary school teacher with a background in economics. Priya developed our Young Savers curriculum to engage children through storytelling and games.
Family Workshop Facilitator
A chartered accountant and father of three who understands the challenges of teaching children about money. Thomas leads our popular family sessions.
Located just minutes from Manchester Piccadilly station, our learning centre provides a welcoming environment for students of all ages. The space includes two dedicated classrooms, a resource library with financial planning books and tools, and a comfortable reception area.
We designed the space to feel unlike a traditional school. Comfortable seating, natural light, and informal layouts encourage open discussion about topics that many people find stressful or embarrassing.
The centre is fully accessible, with step-free access and hearing loop systems in both classrooms.
